Assistant Professorship of Sociology (Black Studies), part-time
Assistant Professorship of Sociology (Black Studies), part-time 50%, Department of Sociology, School of Social Sciences and Philosophy at Trinity College Dublin.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for the design and implementation of a Black Studies Elective Module for Undergraduate Students at Trinity College Dublin which will be run each term for the duration of the contract. They will have, relative to career stage, a track-record in research, including high-impact scholarship and international publications, teaching and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as previous experience teaching experience around Black Studies. The appointee will be expected to engage in wider public and policy debates, and to foster collaboration with other Departments in College and external research bodies.
The successful applicant is expected to take up the post on as soon as possible after interviews (early November).
